What is the awards program?

Our awards program is designed to showcase and promote quality thought leadership writing, which will help us as a community to dive deeper into the characteristics of excellent articles.

How do I apply or apply for someone at my company?

 

Here are the steps:

​

1. Submit an original article of 500 to 1,200 words on the Institute’s awards page via this form

​

2. Upon submission via the above link, you will be asked to provide our judges with some context regarding the industry and the intended audience, as well as your LinkedIn profile and the link to the original publication.

​

3. Our team of expert judges will evaluate each submission

Our judges will evaluate each article by evaluating the following criteria:

​

• To what extent does your article:

• Offer solutions to a problem faced by your audience?

• Provide an opinion about the solutions being discussed?

• Share examples based on you or your company’s real-life experience?

• Give away in-depth knowledge for free to educate the reader and build trust?

• Share fresh thinking about the subject?

• Connect directly back to your thought-leadership niche?

• Address a “bigger” idea, such as a trend or shift?

• Remain free of advertising/marketing language – e.g. keep your commercial offering separate?

 

 

In March 2021, we will announce winners and share winning articles with our network of professionals, accompanied by the judges’ analysis of the writing.

What do I get if I win?

Awards will be made in an online ceremony that will be recorded and spread widely across social media.

When can I make my submission?

Submissions will be accepted from December 15, 2020, through January 31, 2021.

Who can participate?

Any professional who has written for their business audience can participate. The subject of the writing does not matter. If you are a consultant, you may have written about blockchain for your clients and potential clients; if you are a gardening professional, you may have written about trends in green gardening.

Submissions are not limited to any industry. You may employed at a company or an independent professional.

Important: Articles must be written by you and not a ghostwriter. If you received help from an editor, that’s fine.
